I developed a serious interest in art, and the arts, in grammar school.  Most people who knew me even then, knew that I was always drawing or had my head in a book!

In the 1940s I won a scholarship to the Art Institute of Chicago, where I went for several years. In college, back then women had generally 2 courses of practical studies: nursing or teaching. I chose the latter, or it chose me really.  My first passion has always been art, and I have drawn throughout my life as time allowed.  This site contains some of my abstract drawings, made mostly with pencils, markers and oil pastels.

I also design cocktail dresses and full-length evening gowns.
